Moms Weekend to Feature Community and
Campus Day of Service

The Office of Public Engagement
is once again inviting students and families to participate in the Commu- nity and Campus Day of Service on Saturday, April 9 as a part of Moms Weekend 2016. Last year, more than 1,500 members of the local and cam- pus communities participated in this fun and meaningful event. Memorial
Stadium was packed with people for a meal packaging event led by Illini Fight- ing Hunger (IFH), a registered student organization that runs food packaging events throughout the state. Volunteers packaged 160,266 hearty rice casserole meals and 56,304 servings of oatmeal. The goal for this year’s event is to pack- age 149,000 meals to benefit Eastern Illinois Foodbank, which serves more
