This past March a report was released that addressed racial microaggressions on campus. Entitled Racial Microaggressions
at University of Illinois, Urbana- Champaign it detailed the feelings and experiences of over 4,800 students of color on campus. The report showed that 39% of respondents felt uncomfortable on campus because of their race. Over half reported experiences

Microaggression theory does have its critics. Christina Hoff Sommers, a former philosophy professor at Clarks University, has criticized microagression theory as oversen- sitive and paranoid.
