• The Illini Union Bookstore launched an Access database that allows departments to track textbook orders from initial ordering to delivery. The student-led project, developed in close coordination with the Operations and Textbook staff during the spring semester, created the database as well as its training and operational documentation.
• Illini Union Marketing launched a new website which earned the EduStyle Awards People’s Choice Award.
• The Illini Union Parent and Family Programs Office collaborated with International Stu- dent Services to host an ice cream social and welcome event for international families.
PROVIDE TRANSFORMATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES
• Learning outcomes were created for student employees throughout Student Programs & Activities and were assessed by the SORF Board student webmaster and secretary.
• The Office of Volunteer Programs introduced Service Weekend Trips, allowing groups of students to engage nearby cities St. Louis, Chicago, and Cincinnati through service. Student Group Leaders helped staff facilitate the programs as participants got to know each other and take part in service projects. In total, 45 students participated.
• The Office of Volunteer Programs received a grant from the Office of Public Engagement that assisted with funding Serving the Common Good: A Panel Discussion on Nonprofit and Public Service Careers. This new program allowed students to hear from and network with nonprofit pro- fessionals about their career paths.
• Digital textbook availability continues to grow. Spring 2015 saw a 9% increase over the previ- ous spring semester, with 460 titles becoming available for students compared to the previous 419.
